Rose likely originated from the Provence region in France around 600 BCE, and wasn’t imported into the US in any real capacity until the late 2000’s.
On the aroma apricot, pear and quince. On the palate look for hints of citrus, nuts and a minerality that goes wonderfully with a variety of cuisine.
Notes of preserved lemons, dried lime and fresh cut hay greet the nose, while dried yellow fruits and a touch of earthiness welcome the palate.
Inviting aromas of apricot and pear. The palate follows with flavors of lemon, stewed apricot, and ripe yellow apple, supported by a smooth, rounded texture.
This is a classic viognier without being overbearing.
