I find a lot of citrus on the initial scent of this wine. Behind the lemon and lime is that characteristic aromatic signature of Avra Vineyard: white pepper. It’s there with every vintage and is a component of the Avra terroir. The wine is dry, but the focused fruit notes of ripe peach and apricot trick the palate into thinking the wine is ever so slightly sweet, but it is not. Vibrant acidity paired with the texture and weight that less aging creates assist in a finish that echoes on the palate.
