2022 Grenache

Though not a new vineyard, it is the first time we have released a wine exclusively from Buxton Vineyard.  Southern Oregon can be rather warm, and in some sub-regions of the Rogue Valley AVA it can be darn hot.  Buxton is the latter and has become a source for our Grenache and Cabernet Franc in the last couple of years.  Grenache is a variety that thrives in warmer climates and the area around Upper Table Rock north of Medford is perfectly suited for this Rhône variety.

On the nose I often get aromas cranberry and pomegranate.  On the palate, lush red plum and black cherry fruit notes and balanced by vibrant acidity.  The 2022 Grenache has smooth soft tannins and a remarkably long lingering finish that echoes the initial aromatic impressions
